About Us
The Emergency Medicine Association (Malawi) (EMAM) was established in 2025 by a coalition of Malawian and international physicians concerned about the critical gap in emergency medical care across the country.
The main aim of the Association is to improve outcomes of emergency care for all patients in Malawi through advocating for patient and provider health rights and the right to quality emergency care.
Today, EMAM works in partnership with Malawi's Ministry of Health, major hospitals, and international emergency medicine organizations to build sustainable emergency care systems that will serve generations to come.
